New owner, same service

Laurie Forster gave the long-time reins of her real estate company Town & Country Realty to her agent Amanda Shahadey back in July. Amanda bought the business and building but the same faces are in the office. Laurie including her husband Reg, along with Associates Shelby McGuire & JoAnn Capellen in addition to long time Administrative Assistant Mary Martin have all made the transition with the new owner.

Get energized

Having a convenient healthy drink option doesn’t have to be a struggle for Saratoga residents any longer. With the opening of Panther Energy on July 3, nutritious shakes and teas have begun to trickle into the community.

A new chapter for Ten Mile Inn

A coal miner and a part salesperson buy an inn.
That's not the start of a joke. The Ten Mile Inn has recently come under new ownership with Troy and Barb Wallace. Recently from Glendo, Wyoming, Troy worked at the North Antelope Rochelle Mine and Barb spent the last 25 years selling parts for Ford and Dodge.

Delicious Delights in the Valley

Spend any amount of time in the Platte Valley during the warmer months, and you've probably seen DeeDee Martz, owner of DD's Delicious Delights, set up somewhere. A regular face at the Farmer's Market at the Saratoga Museum, Dee Dee also sets up at multiple events and locations throughout the summer.
While most of her business takes place in the summer, a few special customers have orders for the winter as well.

Resilient amid change

In early 2020, the coronavirus (COVID-19) was changing the way the world did business.
Restaurants first closed, then adjusted to social distancing requirements once they were allowed to open again. Travel in airplanes was considered risky compared to vehicles. Recreational vehicles were on the roads in droves while hotels had few occupants.
