A Wild Vision for Carbon County

April Avery started her business Wild Vision, which is based in Hanna, almost by accident. She was developing some pictures and her husband's grandkids asked her to make some postcards.

Rose Dabbs came to Hanna 10 years ago from Oregon where she had been born and raised. She was a missionary and was a care person for the elderly.
"I did live-in 24 hour care," Dabbs said. "I loved doing it. There was real joy in what I did. It felt good to be able to help people stay in their own home. People do much better when they are in an environment that they know."

Wood awarded BPOY

The <i>Saratoga Sun</i>'s own Joshua Wood has been named Carbon County Board of Realtors 2021 Business Person of the Year.
Each year, the Board of Realtors take nominations from their membership as to who should receive the award. One person is selected by the board.
Listed in the nomination are business accomplishments, business impact, special endeavors and other comments from realtors.

Mincy named CEO

Jeffrey Mincy has been named CEO of the Platte Valley Clinic and Saratoga Care Center and will head administrative operations of the North Platte Valley Medical Center when construction is complete in the summer of 2022, the Platte Valley Healthcare Project has announced.

Town &amp; Country Realty is proud to announce Lauren Trostle has joined the team. She was born in the heart of Amish Country, Pennsylvania but now calls Elk Mountain, Wyoming home sweet home. She loves exploring the beautiful views around every corner of the area. 

New owner, same service

Laurie Forster gave the long-time reins of her real estate company Town & Country Realty to her agent Amanda Shahadey back in July. Amanda bought the business and building but the same faces are in the office. Laurie including her husband Reg, along with Associates Shelby McGuire & JoAnn Capellen in addition to long time Administrative Assistant Mary Martin have all made the transition with the new owner.
