The Saratoga Sun received word Monday that Ray Walker has died.
Ray was born Jan. 15, 1942 to Len and Gerry Walker, owners of the Freeland Cattle Co. on Pass Creek, which is now the TA Ranch headquarters.
June E. Wenger, 89, of Saratoga, formerly of Butte, Mont., passed away on Jan. 17, 2013, at the Valley View Nursing Center in Saratoga.
She had worked as a secretary and was a communicant of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Saratoga. June enjoyed painting and writing letters to friends, and is remembered as a lady who always enjoyed bringing laughter into other’s lives.
Dr. Frances Juanita Bybee went home to be with her Lord on Dec.19, 2012 in Cheyenne.
Frances was born in Zwolle, Louisiana on July 5, 1930 to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ebarb.
Frances lead an extraordinary life of achievement and educational excellence. She was a career educator and a true leader in her field. She graduated high school at the age of 16, graduated college at the age of 19.
Rita Nadine Harrington, known as Nadine by family and friends, passed away Saturday morning at Kindred Hospital of Denver.
Nadine was preceded in death by her father Dale Soles and grandson Justin Daniel Harrington.
Saratoga native and long-time resident Chester ‘Chet’ Davidson passed away on Dec.10, 2012, in Gillette.
Chet was born on June 30, 1921, in Saratoga to F. Harry Davidson and Alice Kennaday Davidson, homesteaders above Cedar Creek. He joined sisters Amonda, Vita, and Louiza ‘Billye’; and later Eleanora ‘Sis’, Charles ‘Dan’, and Rae were added. The family moved to the Davidson Ranch south of Saratoga in 1928.
James “Jim” R. Caswell, 80, of Laramie, formerly of Rawlins, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at Laramie Care Center.
He was born Jan. 24, 1932 in Estes Park, Colo., to Birdsey and Beatrice (Green) Caswell.
He was raised in Colorado and moved to Saratoga during his high school years.
He married Georgie Currey on July 11, 1951 in Encampment.
Jim served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged.
Dick Neuman passed away quietly at his residence in Saratoga on Dec. 11, 2012 after his long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 60 years young. Dick was born in Rawlins on July 17, 1952 to H.T. and Evelyn Neuman.
He attended schools in Rawlins and later attended Casper College then the University of Wyoming. After this he went to work for his father at Neuman Transit Co., in Rawlins, along with his four brothers.
