    The south entrance to East Allen Lake and boat ramp (Bureau of Land Management Road 3158) is once again open to the public. The road was closed in June due to flooding.     Hunters now have an extra month to purchase preference points with the recent change of the preference point deadline from Sept. 30 to Oct. 31. The preference point deadline will be even longer this year – to Nov. 2 since Oct. 31 is on a weekend. When application deadlines fall on a weekend or holiday, the deadline is extended to the next business day.     The Laramie Game and Fish office has received several complaints from livestock grazers on the Red Rim-Grizzly Wildlife Habitat Management Area (WHMA) near Rawlins about gates being left open. Open gates have allowed cattle to wander onto pastures that have already been grazed, causing stress on riparian areas that are important wildlife habitat.
