    Platte Valley Kiwanis currently have scholarship applications available at Encampment and Saratoga schools. Two $400 scholarships will be given to seniors who demonstrate a need and help out in the community according to Kiwanis member Connie McGuire. Deadline for application is May 5.     The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office has received two reports of counterfeit bills being distributed across Carbon County in the last two weeks. The first report, received in December, consisted of a $50 counterfeit bill. The second report, in January, consisted of a counterfeit $50 and two counterfeit $100 bills.
