Quilters have been sewing away on Miss Nancy’s Quilt. We have had over 100 game players throughout this month. Our faithful volunteers deliver the home delivery meal and Kim and I appreciate it. What a beautiful month of May. We have placed four hummingbird feeders around the building and have been delighted with the outcome “feed them and they will come”. It kind of reminds me of our wonderful seniors in our neck of the woods, I am enjoying meeting all the new faces as they return for the summer “give them warm weather and they will return”. On May 11 we had our last breakfast at noon on the second Saturday of the month (will return in the fall). We fed 27 and ended the breakfast season on a good note. Our Birthday...

Spring is in the air, or is it? All that snow didn’t stop our dedicated coffee drinkers or our lunch eaters. It’s getting closer to installation of our new Heating and Air Conditioner, looks as though it will be installed just in time for summer. It was brought to my attention that the rule of delivering meals within a 5 mile radius does not apply to Encampment Senior Center. So any one needing lunch within 15-20 miles of the center we would be more than happy to deliver to you provided you qualify for those services. If you have any que...

Evelyn, Sheila, Rosemary, Kay, and Vivien played bridge this week. Ellie was in on Thursday to do blood pressures. There was a good line of folks taking advantage of that service. Thanks again, Ellie. The quilters didn’t share anything new on that raffle quilt. I am sure it is still making progress. “Home Town Collection” is the puzzle being worked on at this time. The pieces are being placed by Betty, Lois, Bob, Laura, Madeline, Bill, Vonda, and Laure. Our volunteers didn’t have much extra to do last week as everything is holding togethe...
