Four board members from two different boards turned in their resignations to the town of Saratoga. Mayor John Zeiger read the four resignations at the town council meeting, Dec. 3. Water meter issues that have plagued the town for the last several months are getting resolved and Saratoga Town Clerk Suzie Cox is seeing the results of a system that works. Sensus, the user interface program that was installed when the FlexNet water meter reading program was implemented can now let the town of Saratoga water employees know when there is a potential leak. A tree that stood less than two feet tall garnered a bid of $300 Friday night at the Festival of Trees Gala and Auction. The tree had handmade flies that were tied by 10-year-old Ethan Bartholomew. The bidding war took place between outfitters Mitch Bangert and Mike "Hack" Patterson. The tree was aptly named "Time 'Flies' When You're Having Fun". On Nov. 25, Theresa Bokelman at Red Sage Spa cut off 20 inches of hair in a matter of minutes. Sally Wells and her son Dallas have been growing their hair for Locks of Love and had it cut off to send in to the Locks of Love organization. When parishioners quit coming to church because they couldn't hear the sermons, the memorial committee of the Encampment Presbyterian Church knew they had to take action.
