    Based on the number of participants the 2015 Saratoga Ice Fishing Derby was a success. Stacy Crimmins, chief executive officer of the Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce, reported there were 879 registered fishermen at the event and about 200 ancillary attendees. This was approximately 250 more entrants than last year. While it was not a record for the event Crimmins said it was "a really good year".     In Riverside on Thursday, new mayor Leroy Stephenson and councilman Ed Golden were sworn in for the first time and councilman Fred Lorenz renewed his oath of office at the start of a new term.     At the first regular Saratoga Planning Commission meeting of the year Rory Grubb was re-elected chair of the board and Chris Shannon was elected vice-chair. Mayor E.J.     Both the town of Saratoga, Carbon County Impact Joint Powers Board (water and sewer board) and the Saratoga Airport Board did not have sufficient board members available to form a quorum and have official meetings last week. The water and sewer board lacked a sufficient number of board members last week after three members, Ed Glode, Richard Raymer and Will Faust moved to the town council.     In two 1A Southwest conference games this weekend the Encampment Tigers boys varsity team lost to the higher-ranked Cokeville Panthers (2-1 1A Southwest, 10-4 overall) and beat the lower-ranked Farson-Eden Pronghorn (0-3 1A Southwest, 3-9 overall).     The Encampment Lady Tigers varsity basketball team began their weekend with a loss to Cokeville and ended with a win against Farson-Eden.     The Saratoga Steering committee has thinned a bit since the end of the Zieger administration with only four people present at the meeting.     Based on Circuit Court, Second Judicial District, Carbon County, Wyo., records, Eden Ahon Deorio has been charged with felony theft of more than $1,000 from Valley Foods grocery store in Saratoga. The complete affidavit of Sgt. Kenneth Lehr, of the Saratoga Police Department states that, after due investigation, Deorio is accused of theft of $31,257.42, from June 2014 to December 2014, from Valley Foods.     Carbon County Undersheriff Archie Roybal stated that a loader was stolen from the Thompson Logging sawmill in Encampment early New Year’s Day.
