    Students at Encampment K-12 School saw 'dead people' last week. 2014 Homecoming week was dubbed "The End of the World" and students seemed to have fun during the week by dressing as zombies and corpses.     The town of Encampment had plenty to celebrate homecoming weekend, as their hometown Tigers pulverized Saratoga's Panthers 64-43. The win was not only a great first homecoming game for the Tigers this season, but also payback after December's 60-80 loss to Saratoga. Encampment's star scorer this time was Guy Erickson, who scored 34 points including nine three-pointers Friday.     Encampment's Lady Tigers suffered a double-hit over homecoming weekend, losing to their Platte Valley rivals and tough conference contenders on home ground. The Encampment girls lost 32-48 Friday against Saratoga, and followed up with a 24-44 loss against conference rivals Little Snake River.   • E-Club cakes make $20K

    More than $20,000 was raised at Saturday's "E-Club Cake Auction" held as part of Encampment K-12 School's homecoming festivities. A total of 94 cakes were entered into the auction, which took place in front of a packed crowd after Encampment's Saturday homecoming games. Auction helper Rick Martin said nearly $6,000 more dollars were raised over what came from 2013's auction. "We raised a total of $21,020, and last year we raised $15,525," he said.     Saratoga High School wrestling supporters got their first taste of home competition this season at the Saratoga Quadrangular Thursday evening. Alyson Sneddon opened her vendor business, known as “The Red Wagon”, on Dec. 12 in the former Aunt Martha’s This N’ That shop next to Encampment Town Hall.     The Saratoga High School Wrestling Team has been wiping the mat this season and returned with a second place trophy from the Dogger Invite in Lingle. With only nine wrestlers competing against 18 teams, six of the nine Panthers scored team points. They competed against teams from all over Wyoming and Nebraska.
